SALT LAKE CITY – Redwire will manufacture data processing units and network switches under a licensing agreement with Luxembourg-based Edge Aerospace, the companies announced Aug. 25 at the Small Satellite Conference.
“This agreement represents an important step in our long-term strategy to make advanced space computing more accessible to customers in the United States,” Edge Aerospace CEO Jarosław Jaworski said in the news release. “Redwire has earned a reputation as one of the industry’s most trusted providers of flight-proven space infrastructure. By combining Edge’s high-performance computing technology with Redwire’s manufacturing expertise and customer reach, we can deliver domestically manufactured computing systems that meet the growing demand for intelligent spacecraft capable of processing more data at the edge.”
Through the agreement, Edge Aerospace seeks to accelerate delivery of space-qualified computing products while increasing supply chain resilience and broadening support for its growing U.S. customer base, according to the news release.
